Safety

Can I give my cat paracetamol or ibuprofen?

No. Paracetamol and ibuprofen are highly toxic to cats, and over-the-counter human medicines are among the most common pet poisonings. A single tablet can be dangerous.

Never give a cat any human medicine unless a vet has prescribed it. If your cat is in pain, your vet can prescribe relief that is safe for cats. If your cat has swallowed a tablet, call a vet now.
